Hot World Cuisine

Hot World Cuisine is a buffet based on Paisley Road in Glasgow. This buffet has food from countries across the world, including Chinese, Indian, Italian, and Pakistani. Interior The restaurant had a beautiful interior, with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling that lit up the restaurant, graffiti artwork on the walls of different cities, and cultural statues, giving it a very luxurious and authentic atmosphere. The restaurant was quite spacious so there were many tables, allowing them to cater for different sized groups and families, giving the impression that it is a popular restaurant. Food The food, however, was average. It wasn’t awful, but at the same time, it didn’t wow me enough to go back, unfortunately. I decided to have vegetable gyozas, fried rice, chicken curry, and popcorn chicken. The chicken curry was probably the best part of my meal, however, I wasn’t a big fan of the fried rice as it had a weird taste to it, similar to microwavable rice, which is always a hit or miss....

Bucks Bar

Bucks Bar is a Rock n Roll Bar located on West Regent Street and Trongate, in Glasgow’s City Centre, and specialises in authentic buttermilk fried chicken, real wings, craft brews and Bourbon.

Interior

I would describe the interior as organised chaos, as it is planned out well, however, is very busy and detailed, from the wall décor to the beer kegs in the corner. Everything inside the restaurant is tied together to fit the rock aesthetic, which adds to the success of the restaurant and its atmosphere.

Food

Bucks Bar have a range of chicken, burgers, wings, sides, drinks and desserts to offer on their menu, and also have vegan friendly options too. I decided to order the Buck Mac with a side of salt and chilli chips and a soft shake. The chicken inside of the burger was soft and tasted amazing, however, I found it difficult to eat because of the size so I had to cut it up into smaller sections which got quite messy. The salt and chilli chips were very good and had just the right amount of salt and chilli on them to give them flavour but not making them too spicy. The shake was also exceptional, and I was blown away by the size of the cup it came in. Overall, I had a very pleasant meal, and I would recommend for everyone to try out Bucks Bar at least once.

Price

The prices were around £12-14 for a meal, which I thought was reasonable, considering the portion sizes were huge and the food was delicious. I would, however, recommend sharing a meal as there is too much food for one person and it would not only reduce food waste, but also the price for both people.

Overall rating: 8/10
